My Thoughts:
I thought Cinder was a wonderful book. Most YA books are about paranormal things, such as werewolves and vampires. This was a refreshing change of pace from the normal YA novels. Cinder is about a cyborg who falls in love with a prince, but can't be with him. It was a great retelling of Cinderella for a new generation. The characters were very well written. Prince Kai was a bit whiny, but it didn't get annoying like most whiny characters do. Cinder is a strong, and smart character. I like that she was willing to sacrifice her well being for the good of her people to find a cure for the plague. The story was a little predictable. At the middle of the book, I was almost certain I knew what was going to happen at the end, and I was right. I recommend Cinder to anyone looking for something good to read. I can't wait for the second book in The Lunar Chronicles to come out.

I give Cinder: 4/5.
